Sunday Worship
We believe that the worship of God is our greatest privilege and joy. On Sundays (or ‘Lord’s Day’) we meet together to worship God at 11:30am and 7:00pm. Each service lasts about an hour.
We don’t have a dress code! Some men wear suits, others wear jeans and a t-shirt. Some ladies wear dresses, others wear trousers. It doesn’t matter what you wear, what is important is that you’ve come to church.
The Bible is at the centre of what we do in worship. The main part of each service is listening to a message from the Bible. We also sing to God using the Psalms.
The Psalms are hymns and songs written by God for his people to sing. We believe they tell us about Jesus and his coming. They are the songs that Jesus sang, and many Christians throughout the centuries since have sung them. Click here to listen to what Psalm singing is like!
Children
We believe that children are part of the church, and so we encourage parents to keep their children with them in the service as much as possible.
Our minister produces a children’s page to help older children follow along with the message from the Bible.
If children need to be taken out at any point, the service is relayed to two rooms in the Hall.
Here is an article that helps us think further about where our children should be during worship
During the Week
In the Bible, the New Testament, Christians didn’t just meet on Sundays, but throughout the week.
We follow a similar pattern and meet together every Tuesday evening at 8pm to study the Bible together and prayer.
Once a month the Men and Women of the church have separate meetings for fellowship and encouragement.
